Among the winners of the Leaders of Russia contest are three representatives of JSC RZD.

Yesterday, in Sochi, the results of the All-Russian contest of managers "Leaders of Russia" started in October last year at the initiative of Vladimir Putin, were summarized. The contest was organized by the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and the Higher School of Public Administration RANEPA and aimed at searching for talented managers and creating an open, transparent and honest system of career progression. Any Russian citizen under the age of 50 with managerial experience in any sphere could take part in the contest. As a result, almost 200 thousand people were registered and more than half of the applicants were under the age of 35 years.

300 participants were qualified for the final including seven representatives of JSC "Russian Railways". They passed a number of tests which included individual and group work, master classes, trainings on identification and development of managerial competences. The winners were 103 managers including three railway employees: Head of the Railway Logistics Department of GEFCO, Dmitry Verbov; I category technologist of the Processing Service sof the Executive Office of the Far Eastern road Alexander Symonenko and the Head of the Technical Services of the Central Directorate of the Traffic Management of JSC "RZD" Vyacheslav Dmitriev.

"This contest proved once again how many active, purposeful people there are among us who are drawn to new knowledge. Joining a hundred of the winners was my goal, so I had worked hard and consulted with experts. Many thanks to the colleagues and managers of JSC "RZD" whose moral support we felt throughout the contest. We have got a good experience and successfully represented the railway sector," Dmitry Verbov told “Gudok”.

Each finalist received a grant in the amount of 1 million rubles for training programmes for managers. During the year they will have personal consultations with top managers of the largest companies and senior officials including the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Anton Vaino, his First Deputy, Sergei Kirienko, the Russian Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, Ministers: Sergei Shoigu, Dmitry Medvedev, Sergey Lavrov, the General Director of JSC "Russian Railways" Oleg Belozerov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Renova" Group of companies Viktor Vekselberg, President – Chairman of VTB Andrey Kostin, and others. In the coming days, mentors will choose their wards among the winners of the contest.
