On 30 March, in the Center of Scientific and Technical Information and Library of JSC RZD a meeting of the working group “Construction” of the Expert Board for technical policy in the field of design, construction and operation of high-speed rail lines in the Russian Federation and the Union of Railway Constructors. The meeting was attended by the representatives of construction divisions of JSC RZD, JSR High-Speed Rail Lines, JSC Mosgiprotrans, Chinese company Eryuan, JSС Roszheldorproject, JSC InstituteStroyProject, JSC RZDstroy, LLC StroyTransEnergo, JSC Institute Giprostroymost, JSC Lengiprotrans and others. In total, more than 160 people took part in the discussion. JSC VNIIZHT was represented in the working group meeting by the General Director Nazarov Oleg Nikolaevich and the Head of the Laboratory “Engineering structures” of the Department “Tracks and Track Facilities” Doroshkevich Anton Andreevich.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the technologies for constructing railroad bed, track structure and artificial structures. A special attention also was given to determination of vertical alignment of a track, complexity of using constructional materials for building railroad beds and arrangements and technology for building artificial structures. In this context the experts focused on optimization of logistics, necessity of mastering special equipment and technologies for building highly consolidated railroad bed and special lifting machines for transportation and installation of superstructures of about 1000 tons or erection of these structures using continuous concreting method. Furthermore, the participants discussed the usage of BIM technology for design environment creation, project and construction management, operational planning, coordination, accounting, compliance with newly developed regulations during construction works, as one of key factors for achieving goals and lowering costs. The experts also agreed on the necessity of creating a pilot section for testing the organizational and technological documentation reflecting optimal sequence of erecting a linear facility and sequence of operations. The meeting will results in the protocol summarizing suggestions, commentaries and recommendations of experts.
