The working consultations of the contact persons of the Russian-Chinese Working Group of enterprises on cooperation in the field of HSR were held on 8 and 9 February in Beijing and devoted to the organization of a high-speed freight railway transportation on the route Europe — Russia — China with the help of the specialized railway rolling stock. The Russian delegation was headed by the head of the Center for Organization of Rapid and High-Speed Services of JSC RZD, G.V. Petrushenko.
During the consultations the parties discussed the progress and results of the work on designing Moscow — Kazan HSR, the potential of high-speed freight railway transportation by means of the specialized rolling stock on the route Europe — Russia — China and the possibility of creating a working sub-group for this direction.
Following the meeting, the parties have agreed about creation of a subgroup for studying the prospects of the organization of a high-speed freight railway transportation on the route Europe — Russia — China by means of the specialized railway rolling stock, as a part of the Working Group of enterprises on cooperation in the field of HSR and about cooperation in studying this project.
