45th anniversary of BAM is just the beginning!

Yesterday we celebrated the legendary and significant event for JSC Mosgiprotrans, the 45th anniversary of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Main Line.

The young generation of JSC Mosgiprotrans is proud of having opportunity to learn from the experience of those who were entrusted with such a complex and important task as to be the General Designer of the Baikal-Amur Main Line which was a great event of the Soviet times:

"We all are representatives of the younger generation and we are proud of you, our teachers! Your active citizenship, courage, determination, receptivity to new and progressive ideas, striving for perfection, creative approach, selfless work, helped Russia to get a second railway access to the Pacific ocean, access to the richest deposits of Siberia and the Far East.

We know that for many of you the main line has become a matter of life, a school of courage and patriotism. This colossal work was a serious challenge not only for the employees of JSC Mosgiprotrans but for the whole of Russia!

In five, ten, fifteen years we will become responsible for the fate of the company and the country. Therefore, the experience you are sharing with us today will become the stability and prosperity of our "Tomorrow".

Thanks to you, true professionals, we are ready to take responsibility, set goals and achieve them! Thank you!

We wish you good health, strength and endurance. Continue easily overcome all difficulties and obstacles, do not stand still and act more! We admire the heroic work of the designers and builders of BAM who professionally and with full dedication laid the railway track through marshes, rocks and forests, and used the most advanced construction and engineering technologies despite difficult natural conditions. The work of the creators of BAM is marked by high state awards, and the names of the Heroes of Socialist Labor forever inscribed in the history of the mainline.

Today's event is just the beginning of the BAM's history. This is confirmed by Vladimir Putin:

"BAM is more than just one of the railway arteries of the country. BAM became a transit route that connected the whole Eurasia. However, now the challenge is to develop infrastructure in the region effectively. It is necessary to increase the capacity of BAM to 200 million tons per year by 2025."
