Autodesk Rail Summit 2018 in Paris

Professionals of JSC Mosgiprotrans do not miss opportunity to obtain information on the latest developments in computer modeling which can be used for designing railway facilities.

Maksim Sukharev, the First Deputy General Director, and Artem Komzolov, Head of Automation and Production Department, took part in Autodesk Rail Summit which brought together delegations from 11 countries in Paris.

Compared to similar conferences hold in the UK and Brussels, this event brought together the entire elite of the design industry. Such a significant project as Hyperloop was announced at the summit: this network is planned to be laid between Charles De Gaulle and Orly airports, which will reduce the time between them from 58 to 8 minutes.

JSC "Mosgiprotrans" successfully uses modern design technologies for several years, namely BIM-technologies and methods of air-laser scanning of territories:

"We used the advanced technology of building information modeling (BIM) in implementing the Moscow-Kazan HSR project. This technology has formed the basis for all solutions applied throughout the facility life cycle. BIM is based on a three-dimensional information model which is used as the basis for determining the designer’s work and activities of investors, customers, contractors and operating organizations.

During designing we build a digital terrain model based on the data provided by laser scanning. This digital model was used for designing the HSR route and levelling its elements. Designs of buildings and structures are made in the form of three-dimensional models by using the collective work of various specialists. Then all models are combined into a single model. All models will be saturated with data and detailed specifications during developing the design documentation and should be used at the stages of construction and operatio
n," Maksim Sukharev added.
