The General Meeting of the Union of Railway Constructors took place in Moscow. Over 100 large companies of the industry including JSC Mosgiprotrans represented by Levshunov Vitaly, the Chief Engineer and Sergey Ivanov-Tolmachev, the Deputy Chief Project Engineer, participated in the meeting.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Valery Seleznev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy; Alexander Misharin, First Deputy General Director of JSC RZD; Oleg Toni, Deputy General Director of JSC RZD, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Union of Railway Constructors; Valentin Gapanovich, Advisor to the Director General of JSC RZD, President of Non-profit Partnership Association of Railway Equipment Manufacturers; Nonna Kagramanyan, Vice President, a member of the General Board of the All Russia Public Organization “Business Russia”; Andrey Lotsmanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for technical regulation, standardization and conformity assessment of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
In his summary report, the President of Railway Constructors Union Gennady Talashkin mentioned the main activities of the organization in 2017, and thanked the members of the Union for team-work.
The priority areas of activity for 2018 presented by the Vice-President of Railway Constructors Union Aleksey Stepanenko have been approved unanimously:
1. Assistance in implementing fast and high-speed railway traffic projects, other major railway construction projects, projects for construction of transport infrastructure of urban agglomerations.
2. Improvement of regulatory and technical documents, pricing system budget-normative base for railway construction.
3. Assistance in developing of Public Private Partnership projects and concessions in railway construction.
4. Assistance in introducing BIM technologies into the life cycle of rail transport infrastructure.
5. Support of international cooperation and foreign projects of railway organizations
In order to ensure the interaction of the Railway Constructors Union members in the developing solutions for each priority area, committees under Railway Constructors Union have been proposed to be established. The committees are permanent working bodies of the Railway Constructors Union that assist in developing a common position of the representatives of business community of the Railway Constructors Union on the management of the committees.
